Breaking: Police believe second vehicle was involved in fatal crash in Bradford Road, Bingley

POLICE have revealed a second vehicle is believed to have been driven in tandem with a car which ploughed into a tree and a lamppost killing a 22-year-old man.

The dead man, named by his family as Shumas Fakeer, was a passenger in the blue Audi RS4 which crashed outside Ashfield Court, in Bradford Road, Bingley at about 4am yesterday.

The law graduate of Frizinghall, Bradford, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The Audi driver, a 24-year-old Bradford man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police today said a black Volkswagen Golf was thought to have been driven in convoy with the Audi and two men, aged 23 and 24, who were in it, have been arrested.

The two cars are thought to have travelled through Heaton, then along Toller Lane, before heading into Cottingley and then Bingley where the crash took place.
